We aggregate public data in the public interest: creator safety, exploitative practices and the real economics of the industry. All datasets are available under the CC BY 4.0.

What OFM Research is

OFM Research is OFM Model Agency’s open data resource on safety and economics in the creator industry: curated roundups of peer-reviewed and institutional sources, brought into a single format with charts, CSV/JSON datasets and a CC BY 4.0 license. Every figure traces back to a primary source — from peer-reviewed studies (CHI, USENIX Security) to reports by FBI IC3, the FTC, Eurostat and SWGfL.

We do not run surveys of our own and we do not publish the agency’s internal metrics. Our format is data curation: we find, verify and consolidate already-published figures that the industry keeps scattered across dozens of unconnected sources. The first report — Adult creator safety in 2026 — draws on 23 sources, including a multinational study of 16,693 adults in 10 countries, and closes a documented gap: no consolidated statistics on adult paid creators existed before it.

A curated roundup of verified institutional data on the safety of adult content creators: what is measured, what concerns only minors, and where the “commercial content” gap lies.

Methodology

  • Source hierarchy. Peer-reviewed work and institutional data come first: CHI 2025, USENIX Security 2024, FBI IC3, the FTC, Eurostat, SWGfL. Vendor statistics are published only with an explicit “vendor” flag and are never used as evidence of prevalence.
  • Traceability. Every figure carries a link to its source; the full list is published on the report page next to the data, not in a footnote.
  • Separated samples. Data on adults and minors are never mixed: NCMEC and Thorn statistics concern minors and are not projected onto adult creators.
  • Honest limitations. Where no representative measurement exists — for example, the share of stolen paid content — we label the figure an expert estimate, not a fact.
  • Open data. Datasets are available in CSV and JSON; charts and findings are licensed under CC BY 4.0 with attribution required.
  • Dates and corrections. Every report shows its publication and update dates; changes are made only with an updated dateModified.

Why the industry needs this data

Adult paid creators are a blind spot in public statistics: dedicated safety research focuses on minors, while vendor reports focus on platform fraud metrics. Yet laws like the TAKE IT DOWN Act and platform policies are written on exactly this incomplete data. Verifiable figures gathered in one place serve journalists for fact-checking, researchers as a map of sources, and creators themselves — to tell real risks from fear marketing.

That is why OFM Research is built citation-ready: stable URLs, an open license, machine-readable datasets and a “cite this” block with a ready HTML link and embed code on every report. The data may be used in publications, research and AI products with a link to ofmmodels.com/research.

Who is behind the data

Reports are produced by the OFM Model Agency team. Source selection and editing are led by Oksana Tkachenko, Head of Talent Management, OFM Models.
